Frances LarinaThe 1920's were dominated by a Republican trifecta & everyone partied. Then the 1930's happened and most people had to pay the price. This century has been a see-saw of plunder and controls, with only brief slices of either party having a trifecta.

It also reminds me of 1979: American hostages taken by radical terrorists, changes in American leadership from centrist to right wing, bands like Night Ranger and Foreigner (still performing), Georgia fighting for the National Championship (and getting it in 1980).
