Just installed KonstaKANG.com #Android14 to my #RaspberryPi5 with #MindTheGapps Android and the Android #JellyFin. 1080p video streaming working a charm.

Will try a 4k Video later.

Hmm, ok 20 mins into a video it failed with a "Source Error" and the Pi 4 running the server is being taxed a lot more then when playing through the #FireTV 4k Stick.

@talktech Sounds like the server is trying to transcode? What does the dash say?

@talktech Also don't forget the Pi 5 has no hardware decoding for H264, so unless you've got your source media in H265 it either has to use the CPU or your server may try and transcode in real time from H264 to H265.

@Ryanteck it shows as direct playing. Both devices are hardwired to the network.

@Ryanteck The server is a P4 4Gb. And it is showing as using nearly all the RAM. But the next video in the queue started without intruption and so far good.

@Ryanteck The sever is also runing CasoOS (something I am thinking of ditching in the next round of housekeeping).

@talktech @Ryanteck linux tries to allocate unused memory a buffers to aid performance so ant linux system that has been running for a while will show mist memory on use if you dont read the report correctly

@hollowman @Ryanteck Yup. The next thing I hope is that a Google TV / Android TV version comes out soon
