Today 10 years ago, I put a little game online: https://www.youdontknowafrica.com/

It has been played millions of times, all around the globe, and people just won’t stop playing it.

It makes me genuinely happy to see that it continues to be useful (and joyfully frustrating) to people. Where’s Gabon again?

[PLAY NOW] You Don't Know Africa 🌍🧐

Find all African countries as quick as you can. It's harder than you think.

The most played is still the original game. Over the years, I’ve added two more.

1 — Find countries on a map https://www.youdontknowafrica.com/1/

2 — Name countries from memory https://www.youdontknowafrica.com/2/

3 — Flags! https://www.youdontknowafrica.com/3/

And then, there’s the «impossible edition» that combines all three games into one devilishly difficult game. So far, 3757 brave souls have tried their luck, 584 crazy ones have succeeded.

What I love most about You Don't Know Africa is how global its audience is. Just yesterday, people from 47 countries have played it, from all continents.

Over the years, people from every single country on Earth (except North Korea, at least not officially) have played it.

@davidbauer this is so great! I did not know about this game. Afrika is such a weak spot for me and this is exactly what i needed.
Thank you!
@davidbauer It‘s still such a great game! I sometimes show to friends and everyone’s always surprised how little they know about Africa.

@davidbauer Ooh, I’m just wondering if rhymes with what a pinch causes counts but don’t want to give people hints.

(I don’t do these things on account of disabilities and also not really liking being timed. Many others enjoy being timed, however. I boost. May my modest number of followers do the quizzes!)

@davidbauer I love it! My thumb is too wide to be accurate, but I can't wait to try with s stylus.
@davidbauer this is fun. Thanks!🙏
