EU approves €900 mln for Hungary as the bloc tries to override 🇭🇺 veto of aid to 🇺🇦.

EU had blocked post-pandemic stimulus funds to 🇭🇺 due to suspicions of corruption.

In response, Hungary has blocked the EU's decision to provide Ukraine with €50 bln economic aid until 2027.

Taiwan’s two main opposition parties will not run as a coalition.

The KMT and TPP decided to run on the same presidential ticket, however after failing to settle disagreements over polling, the parties have failed to unite.

This gives an advantage to the ruling DPP, which takes a more Taiwanese nationalist stance.

The fact that the West doesn't give Ukraine all the weapons it needs for a quick, decisive victory suggests more than caution. It suggests a preference for business as usual with Russia, and the hope that Ukraine can be prodded into a land-for-peace deal. And the longer the war lasts, the longer they can keep kicking the can of NATO membership down the road.

The West is not acting in good faith.
