This new dog respiratory illness going around is scaring me.

The only time Benson is putatively around other dogs is when he's at daycare -- he's in Enhanced Care (which means he's kept separate from groups), but he's still in a facility with large numbers of dogs around.

I also keep him away from other dogs on our walks and usually walk where/when there aren't a bunch of other dogs walking the same route.

This illness has been going around since August and so far, Benson has been fine, but I'm *stressed.*

The yet unnamed disease has infected hundreds of dogs in at least five states and does not respond to antibiotics so far.

@DeliaChristina I asked our local daycare about it and so far the answer is "we've seen it on TikTok but not locally," for which I am very grateful. Still, it's only a matter of time.

@DeliaChristina ugh and it gives 2020 because it's still unclear what it is, how it spreads and how widespread it is. It could be on your clothes, your shoes, the sidewalk, the grass... Hopefully I don't have to get Moxxi's DIY face mask back out again.
