Any recommendations for games on sale for Black Friday? - Lemmy.World

Just looking to see if anyone has any recommendations for games that might be on sale for the holidays to add to the collection or try out! Other games I enjoy for context -Root -Scythe -Terraforming mars -Wingspan -Marvels Champions/Legendary -Betrayal at house on the hill -Camel Up -That’s Pretty Clever -Roll Low -Catan -Azul

Don’t know if they’re on sale, but my 2c:

  • ticket to ride
  • Arkham horror the card game
  • Concordia (euro, but right there with wingspan and catan IMHO)

Thanks for the suggestions! Have Ticket to Ride and have been eyeing Arkham Horror for awhile but heard that it’s kinda campaign based? It’s been hard to keep a group consistently so wasn’t sure if that’ll be a problem. Will check out the other two!

Arkham lcg is my favorite game, but it absolutely is campaign-based.

there are standalone scenarios that you can do but they are not the main part of the game. the campaigns are incredible though and honestly if you can find even one other person or even play solo I absolutely recommend this one.

could always demo it on like tabletop simulator or something too to see if you like it
