@atpfm follow up on the external cooler problem - on my old 16” intel MacBook Pro with an i9 chip, it would thermal throttle within minutes of starting a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation using all the cores, but having a $12 stroller fan pointed at the keyboard while running would keep it just cool enough it could run for over 4 hours no problem
