Do you have any questions, big or small, about the PlayStation
Access Controller?

Drop them in the replies to this post.

I'll aim to answer as many as possible when embargo lifts.

@LauraKBuzz neat that they're following MS in this. I like the pull tabs! About how big is this? Feels like a (potentially) one hand on stick, one hand on pad thing

@LauraKBuzz Since watching your intitial video about testing it, I've been curious about a couple things. What alternative hand positions are there, and how easy is it to press buttons?

I was hoping to avoid a lot of repetitive finger movements, but it kind of seemed like it was more akin to using a keyboard. (Whole hand resting over top, with particular fingers used for particular buttons.)

@LauraKBuzz Does it work ok for games that require faster input? I play a lot of shmups but can't stand the hand cramping that comes with them
@LauraKBuzz Is it recognized as a classic controller on computer ?

@LauraKBuzz several questions on behalf of a friend:

1. What are the different kinds of buttons it comes with?

2. Are you able to configure it with the buttons being at differing distances from the center disk? Some pictures show the buttons further apart, but it isn't clear if they all have to be the same distance.

@aeva button types, all visible in box image, are domed, flat, higher on the outside edge, double width, and "curves up into the centre"

@aeva button positions are fixed. You can leave a key cap empty without a button, but can't move buttons in or out, or less than one full position side to side.

Analogue can be made closer or further.

@LauraKBuzz and my own questions:

1. How hard is it to set up?

2. Does it allow you to program any macros / sequences?

3. Does it have any modes for rapidly pressing buttons for you?

4. How many of these can you use in tandem?

5. Does it have any aux ports for custom hardware like the xbox accessibility controller does?

6. How much does it weigh?

7. What sort of mounting interface is there on the back?

@aeva

1. Setup is mostly hard in the sense of working out per game what layout works for you through trial, error, amd new muscle memory.

2. You can program one button press to activate a 2 button macro, or 4 macro with a double width key cap.

3. It has hold toggle but not turbo button mash.

4. Two acces controllers plus one dualsense at once for one user

5. It has 4 3.5mm ports (8 on a pair) vs 20 on an XAC

6. Don't know from memory

7. There's a few different screw mount threads on the underside

@LauraKBuzz Very cool. I hope I'm phrasing this correctly, but my questions are:
1) How well does it work without thumbs?
2) how much grip-strength is required on the joystick (could it be moved with a palm, frex)?

Thank you!
