@DrJackBrown
I didn't understand the atrocities of WWII as a 60s youngster.
In college I didn't understand conservatives who considered themselves religious, yet were hawks.
Later I didn't understand the strange confluence of religion and politics shared by many conservatives.
Then I began to get it. It seemed that they saw these things as social ties and tend to yield to peer pressure. Liberals were able to separate religion and politics.
Now with MAGAism I'm back to being confused.
Do the math:
2024 = 1984
40 years of warning, still missed and many were asleep
1984 = 1944
Is that why he picked 1984? Long enough to forget the atrocities. Grandchildren's generation? 1/2 a long life?
2024 = 1984 = 1944
