For anyone curious: this does not work.

(Powered via the accessory AC outlet in the trunk. The Rivian mobile charger shows a red status light. The BMW mobile charger shows a "fault” light. Maybe it's the lack of real grounding?)

@marcoarment No chance the AC outlet can handle the required current.
@dev_tty01 It can. It outputs 1500W max, and the charger was configured for 10A (1200W).
@marcoarment Hmm. Is that 1500W rating peak or continuous? Is the 1500W output a sine wave or chopped? Was anything else plugged in to another outlet? What is the max surge current from the BMW charger? That could be significantly higher than 10A. Any of these things could make one of the ends misbehave. These types of circuits are designed to be very conservative for safety. If anything is the least bit sketchy they shut down.
