@revkarol @itsfoss There is already a workaround - spoof the user-agent string to imitate chrome. Do it manually or use a plugin like chameleon to do it for you.
Meanwhile, I'm not so confident about everyone else. They're likely to blame Firefox for the poor performance with Youtube, switch to Chrome and tolerate the ads or pay up. @itsfoss I'm not a Firefox user and have zero plans to use it again.
That being said, this is monopolistic and governments need to investigate this for anticompetitive behavior.
