I mean, I see where he is going with this, but I never thought of a person in a wheel chair evil. Also I just assumed he was in it cause whatever mad scientist thing he did to make them resulted him needing a device to keep him alive. But, I'm willing to let this one play out just cause I wanna see IF they even address this change or just move on like nothing happened...

Russell T. Davies Explains Doctor Who's Big Davros Retcon

Julian Bleach returned to play the creator of the Daleks in a special Children in Need scene—but in a new form that will be the default going forward.

@Btph

assumed this was BEFORE he got in the wheelchair when i saw it. i've seen most of classic as well, and he's depicted *around this time* as being in the wheelchair in 'Genesis of the Daleks' so assume this was what he looked like *before* thhat; although, this might be a complete retcon of Genesis??

*edit: and it's not *really* a wheelchair, right? it's a Dalek bottom half to take him closer to his beloved creations.

@buru5 I really hope its not a retcon, like if we're gonna destroy one of the best stories of the OG who for one character than you may as well of kept the other guy in. Genesis still in my head holds up well as a story. And as for his chair I always thought it was the consequence of what he did in creating the daleks, like literally a mad scientist doing harm to himself to finish his project. By this logic, Dr. Doom shouldn't be in his suit due to vanity alone

@Btph

i agree with you about Genesis, imo it's one of the best Doctor Who stories ever. retconning doesn't make it *worse* retroactively, but it's a bit disrespectful to the 4th Doctor's run, i think, as it's a pivotal moment in the Doctor's history.

Doctor Who, if we're being honest, retcons all sorts of stuff, but a pivotal moment like this is a weird thing to pick.

@buru5 Well also if we're doing this what about cybermen? By this argument we shouldn't be seeing the cybermen PEROID.

@Btph

I just want to know why they didn't keep the #blueeye in his #forehead.

Were they afraid of #upsetting or #offending the #NavisNobilite?

@FatherEnoch they probably thought people would assume it's a laser eye or something and didnt want to disappoint further or something
