I went to #JollywoodNights at Disney's Hollywood Studios, primarily because I was very excited to hear that the Muppets (or at least Kermit and Miss Piggy) would be hosting the Disney Holidays in Hollywood live stage show (along with special guests Tiana, Belle, Mickey and Minnie Mouse).
It did my heart good to hear the crowd erupt in cheers whenever Kermit and Piggy appeared.
Please, Disney powers-that-be: pay attention. Give us more Muppets content.
While I loved the #JollywoodNights Disney Holidays in Hollywood (the corny holiday special variety show vibes! The choreography! Did I mention #TheMuppets?)...
I did do a double-take when Minnie Mouse's rendition of "Deck the Halls" included the line "Don we now our cozy sweaters / I can think of nothing better" instead of the traditional* "Don we now our gay apparel / Troll the ancient Christmas carol"
*Wikipedia says the original English lyrics were "Fill the meadcup, drain the barrel" 🤷
