I am really irritated by YouTube videos of someone talking that constantly switch between angles of looking straight into the camera and a 3/4 view, likely for more visual interest. It feels like they're looking straight at me and then keep randomly looking elsewhere while they're talking and I somehow find it off-putting and distracting from what they're saying.
Felicity Reif@josh those bother me, but not as much as the cut away to an “ear shot”. Like a 90 degree cut.
@andreasjr I don’t know who is training people to do this but we must stop it! 😂
@josh Yes!! Though maybe they have those cuts because they’re NOT trained! A simple jump cut/zoom is enough 😁
