My thanks to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats organization, all the volunteers, and especially all the fans who have made this Grey Cup Festival a lot of fun. Even wearing Argo gear around town, I haven't heard the traditional statement about the Argos that much; the Sask band was cheered in the Winnipeg party, the fans everywhere are getting along just great, celebrating this game that we all love.

This #CFL video from 15 years ago still chokes me up. This is OUR league.

PS. Please don't tell anybody I said this, but I would be OK with the general concept of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats actually winning the #CFL Grey Cup occasionally. One great thing about a nine-team league - your team SHOULD win the thing every once in a while.
@shayman I love that CFL Grey Cup fest brings fans of all teams together like this.
@LittleTokyo it really is great - I think most of these fans want the CFL to succeed and are silently rooting for all the teams to sell out every home game.
@shayman @LittleTokyo May I suggest following the hash tag #CFLOM CFL on Mastodon.
@mike @LittleTokyo Sure but can I ask, why use #CFLOM instead of #CFL ?
@mike @LittleTokyo in the old days on the bird site, I remember confusion when something called "Campaign 4 Liberty" co-opted that #CFL hashtag, and then for a while it was used for “Central Florida”, or “Compact Fluorescent lightbulbs” but surely shorter is better
@shayman @LittleTokyo It evolved as a derivative of #HNOM Hockey Night On Mastodon.
@shayman - Uh, because it's Mastodon, so the #CFL posts are found under an obscure reference to an ice hockey reference that barely makes sense anyway. (I love the league but haven't particularly enjoyed the discussions this year, either...)
@euro17 that other hashtag makes very little sense and isn’t discoverable at all. With respect to those that use it, I think I’ll stick to #CFL.
