A great soul has passed. Rosalynn Carter, wife of President Jimmy Carter, passed away today at age 96. A humanitarian through to the end, she was a fierce advocate for mental health issues. She brought grace and kindness to the White House. She was a treasure. She will be missed.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a passionate champion of mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:10 p.m. at her home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 96. She died peacefully, with family by her side.
