A team of astronomers including Jeroen Bouwman and Paul Molliere from MPIA used #JWST to study the atmosphere of the strange exoplanet #WASP107b and detected water, sulfur dioxide, and sand clouds with #MIRI. These observations detected for the first time chemical footprints of silicate (sand) vapour forming high altitude clouds.
