@cloudguy Thank you for your sacrifice mate! Alexa's security model has always been spectacularly awful.

Like, I have one by my front door (e.g. to check weather as I leave) but I have to keep it airgapped so any old rando cannot open my smartocks just by yelling at my front door!

@AndiMann @cloudguy I've segmented the home automation from the rest of the network for years. Ring, Alexa, plugs, outlets, bulbs they all live on their own network.
@jpmorgenthal Smart (no pun intended). I do some, but my big issue with havign some devices on a separate VLAN is how to allow guests to use some of them - like, add a sone to Spotify, or turn down the AC in their room. It's a balancing act really.
