I'm over my self-pitying rant.

I will stop reading comments before I stop posting.

I think, though, that helping people understand the First Amendment issues at stake in the gag orders is less important than helping people understand that the real danger to democracy is misinformation and disinformation, and these things cannot be fixed through the legal system.

@Teri_Kanefield I don't comment much because I feel like I usually don't have anything meaningful to add, but I just want to say I really appreciate your analyses as a law laymen. Even though it's not always what I want to hear emotionally, it gives me a lot of context on how the law actually works (or in some cases, doesn't). Thank you for your insight - it's one of the main reasons I visit Mastodon every single day.
