Look, I am not putting anyone down. I am merely stating a fact. The amount of fans of “The Operative: No One Lives Forever” that were happy when modders made it playable on modern hardware are probably less than 50 people, but we still recognize that we are a small number of people
Ok. But who are you informing of this fact and why? Do you think I’m unaware that modding communities are often small, especially where long-dead games are concerned? Even if the only people who care are the modders themselves, it’s still uncool to shit on them.
ALL my comment does, is tell someone off for putting down whatever fanbase remains for a game that’s already dead. That you framed a reply to that in a “no, but” suggests you thought they had good reason to be rude.
What is there to add? You’re not correcting anything. There is no “but” here, yet by using that word you undermine whatever precedes it. I wasn’t looking to inform, but to encourage decency. Walking in with an acchually and calling attention to the number of fans is irrelevant at best, and at worst, undermines my attempt to call for cordial behaviour.

This is a mod, not gearbox. And Titanfall 2 got crushed by the games it launched next only to rise years later.
Battleborn was/is a genuinely good game that wasn’t for everyone, but died because most who would have liked it, never gave it a go.
Seriusly? I am SO FUCKING DOWN to finally play some more!
Played hundreds of hours of it, and the urge to pick it back up every now and then never went away after it shut down.
