I'm usually hesitant to share too much about my son, Ripley, or his situation but our situation (US, WV/OH) changed last week. Ripley is about 18 months old and we've known since he was born that he would need a #KidneyTransplant once he was big enough. Until last week, our plan was for him to get one of mine. I haven't posted about our kidney search in a while because it hasn't gone well TBH. But we finally have a family friend who is nearing the end of testing. She's one test away from actually traveling to the hospital and getting a final IRL evaluation. Our push now is to cover her expenses like missed wages and meals to make sure she can focus on the test.
