@taylorlorenz I am normally a supporter of Israel but they are really undermining their standing in the world with this campaign, regardless of the events of Oct. 7. This invasion will shadow them for decades.

@zeitverschreib Oct. 7 was an act of terror, and yet it does not justify killing up to 10k civilians in response. I worry Israel is following our missteps after 9-11.

@zeitverschreib I am not sure what the solution is. But Hamas clearly wanted to create a no-win scenario for Israel, and they succeeded. I support Israel’s right to exist, and the Palestinians to statehood. Not sure how that will be achieved with extremists dedicated to winner-take-all outcomes.
