According to The Daily Beast, not only did Speaker Mike Johnson fail to disclose any bank or investment account covering his many years in Congress, he also appears to have failed to disclose an all-expenses paid junket to speak at a conservative rally, or he used government funds to cover the expenses. Both are big no-nos. We need transparency. We need accountability.
@georgetakei We need sanctions...
@georgetakei we need to have No GOP Majorities ahead !
@georgetakei when you are the law - or try to become the law - such legalese does not matter.

@georgetakei

it's strange isn't it? Mike Johnson seems to think that leaving absolutely no trail of financial activity protects him from scrutiny. but it has exactly the opposite effect. it's almost as if he is trying scrub something clean, down to a blank slate. I'm no psychologist, but this has a strong smell of guilt underneath. what's he hiding? how many more shoes will drop?

@georgetakei how come whenever I fill out a financial form for anything there is fine print near the signature line telling me that lying on the form will either disqualify me or give me criminal charges? But rich people can just lie about their money and it’s totally fine? On financial forms that they sign? Why?
