belvabel@augustusbrown I don't live in the area but the bike/ped conflicts at the intersections seem problematic. The document says car and parking standards have to be met but this arrangement seems more hazardous than the average shared bike/ped path because of reduced sightlines. What is your opinion? Is there a better option?
@belvabel This stage is just confirming the concept. Detailed design is the next step (pending endorsement) and I intend to make sure the design is as intuitive as possible
@augustusbrown thanks for your reply but I'm not sure I've understood what you mean by "intuitive". Are you saying there is scope for separating bike and peds at the intersections in the detailed design phase? I was wondering if there might be enough space by removing the roundabouts and possibly restricting right hand turns for cars at the intersections? (As I say not from the area. Apologies if this is horribly naive)
