I see no downside to the multiply-indicted twice-impeached racist misogynist fascist idiot mobster going to jail.
- Sure, his retail fundraising would increase. But he mostly seems to be embezzling fundraising paid directly to him. If it goes into his pockets, it's more money for civil forfeiture to seize later.
- His billionaire wholesale donors spend money based on potential returns. If they see a candidate as hopeless, they'll spend money elsewhere.
- He can't issue threats as readily from behind bars.
- He can't host campaign rallies from behind bars, except through proxies.
