ToshinThis week I am visiting Barcelona in Spain, and it is probably the first time I am in a country where I mostly understand everything that is written (and even what people say if I concentrate) but cannot speak the language at all.
I feel bad about that, because be it in Japan, Germany, Sweden, or elsewhere, I kind of always manage to just be polite and add nice things like a "have a nice day" in the local language when I leave.
Here, I feel like I just manage to say "Gracias" properly, even though I understand what is being said to me in the language 😅
