Have you had a claim denied by your health insurance company? @ProPublica made something to help you get all the records they used, phone calls they had and notes they took in denying it. Check it out: https://projects.propublica.org/claimfile/
Claim File Helper

You likely have the right to access records that explain why your insurer denied your claim or prior authorization request. Use ProPublica’s free tool to generate a letter requesting your claim file from your health insurance company.

@ken @ProPublica #healthcare is nuts because basically private insurance is a scam where you pay a company monthly and they use part of that money to try and make sure they don’t give any back
@ken @ProPublica The US may have great healthcare providers but the way we pay for it is insane. Private insurance is incentivized to deny claims. I once worked for a company who's primary product was helping providers (physicians) navigate the claim system. Their edge in the market is a database and set of rules to avoid the denial landmines of payers (insurance companies).

@ken @ProPublica "...help you get all the records they used, phone calls they had and notes they took in denying it."

That must be corrected. Here's how it should read:

"...help you get all the records they used, phone calls they had and notes they took which they didn't hide or destroy in denying it."

No one sbould believe insurance companies conduct all their activity above board.
