Okay this is really not #English. I may not be a native speaker but my two master's degrees in the language tell me so.

Can anyone from the Welsh crew explain what this coked up bear is trying to express?

@erikcats "over by here/over by there" is a colloquial English usage from South Wales.

Canonical sentence: "Whose coat is that jacket over by there?". Makes no sense if you've never heard it before, but it's common over by there.

I grew up there, so I don't find it jarring, but I can see why others might.

Diolch, @drunkenmadman! Mae un arall gyda fi:

I guess the same goes for 'they're as [adjective] as each other?' which I've never ever heard in English either, and if it's a regional variant, I at least understand why Duolingo is asking me to parse that construction.

@drunkenmadman you also missed the chance to say you grew up 'over by there' 😜
@erikcats I definitely grew up with that phrase.
@drunkenmadman thanks a million. I was starting to suspect Duolingo of feeding me AI generated sentences based on AI trained content😂
