While waiting for @marthawells’ System Collapse to come out I’m reading novellas and I guess that aligns with #novellavember.
I just finished Lina Rather’s Sisters of the Vast Black, which I recommend. Nuns in space aboard a living starship confront moral questions and what their duty means in troubled times.
Next up, Finna by Nino Cipri.
And immediately before that, I read Emergent Properties by @aimeeogden. An artificial sentience originally designed for space exploration decided that it wanted to be an investigative journalist. Follow zem to the Moon to uncover a story of corporate warfare and to find out how their last chassis was destroyed and why zir last backup is over ten days old.

@aimeeogden Finna answers the question of what might it look like if IKEA were a nexus into the multiverse. It’s fun and I’ll probably read the follow-up, Defekt, at some point.

All of these are very good. I realize that I’m doing a shit job if these are read as reviews. @annaleen gave a blurb for Finna - that’s a better selling point than this.
@c0dec0dec0de I really loved that book -- and as you noted, there's a sequel!
@annaleen so, I just read Defekt and - it’s simpler than Finna - it’s a quick, fun little jaunt through LitenVärld (an evil, alternate, multiverse IKEA).
