I was named after my grandfather (Mother's Dad), Abraham. Who, btw, had the same birthday as me (Nov 15).
I just found this super old document showing that my grandfather on my Dad's side was named Lawrence - who, it makes sense, would be who my brother Lawrence was named after. That's not surprising - in Judaism you're named after a relative who passed, so grandparent is pretty typical.
What IS surprising is seeing Grandfather Lawrence's birthday: November 26. My brother Larry's birthday is November 25. 🤯
So I was named after my Mom's Dad - who just happened to have the same exact birthday as me.
And my brother was named after my Dad's Dad - who's birthday was only 1 day off from his.
Pretty uncanny, right?
