Here’s a nursery rhyme to help you remember the significance of today’s date in the calendar.

30 days have some months
Some others have one more
Except February

@brianbilston this reminds me of a maths exam in high school, where there was a question involving dates (something like: "if such-and-such happened on the 10th of July, how big would it have grown by 30th September?"). A classmate flagged down an invigilator and asked the elderly volunteer to recite the 30 Days Hath September rhyme.
