It's interesting that for all the time activists spend arguing about ads and cookies on the Internet (OH, THE HORRORS!), so many appear to be utterly oblivious to BIPARTISAN federal legislation that would mandate age verification with government IDs to access social media (as a starting point), effectively destroying any level of "anonymity" on the Net. Versions of such laws are already in force in Louisiana related to adult materials, and a broader set of laws passed in Utah and I believe is in force while being litigated, last time I checked. And this is just the beginning.
