@straphanger It's worth mentioning that less than 1% of the US population is actually engaged in agriculture, and most of them aren't buying brand-new $80K USD luxury vehicles, they are buying greatly-depreciated used, utilitarian pickup trucks, which do not hold much residual value, because of their ubiquity.
@straphanger Beyond sheer utility, outdoor sports are often cited as a reason why someone must needs roll around in a huge pickup truck. I keep this pic handy to show that no, you can absolutely get your bikes to the trailhead in a tiny kawaii electric truck.

I have a tiny (by comparison) 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and it’s perfect for around the property doing projects. Would never want anything larger. Would be a pain and nuisance.
