@dave_heumann @QasimRashid That is a big part of Hamas strategy here. The Oct 7 attack was first and foremost intended as an irresistable provocation. Hamas wanted Israel to come at them headlong.
Now Hamas wants to put bases and commanders near civilians so the Israelis have to choose to ignore high value targets or look like the bad guys.
Israel is stronger but constrained by world opinion. Hamas only cares about Arab opinion, and are exploiting that.
