It’s funny that I’ve thrown my knuckler on and off throughout my baseball life. It was best around age 19-20. My college coaches all said it was absolutely nasty and it truly was. I could throw it 70-72 mph with almost 0 rotation every time. My arm eventually got healthy and I threw near 90 in my 20’s so it got left behind. I do regret now not maintaining it to a level that I can be pleased with.

i think at one point in that inning that even Alfonso Marquez realized that they could print his strike zone on the side of a milk carton. Then there was a subsequent pitch that was about a ball diameter outside and is called a strike.
Game 2 had an enlarged strike zone but he called it pretty consistent.
But, keeping it in perspective, the sun will rise in the East tomorrow. (Even if Marquez calls it in the North)

Actually, that was the seventh game that I attended this year. Up until game 5 against Philadelphia the home team had won all five games that I attended. Various correlation rituals (which some would call superstitions) seemed to be working. One of the eleven rituals was to not post about having gone to the game.
The only thing that I did differently going into game 5 was the mistake of reserving a parking spot ahead of time.
I fixed that yesterday but the snakes still found a way to fall behind by ten runs (when they flame out, they do it spectacularly).
So I broke the “no ice cream” rule in the sixth inning, which seemed to help with a comeback. By the ninth inning they were two batters away from having the tying run at the plate.
I should have gotten an extra scoop.
