I’ve stared seeing people defending Biden now, in a way that basically breaks down to “what, you’d rather have Trump? You’d rather have a fascist genocide here at home than one over there? Really?”

These people need to die of a brain clot.

They don’t realize they’re doing this, they’re cowards who honestly believe that at some point the democrats are going to go “Oh wait, scientists meant THAT global environmental disaster? I get it, we’ll fix that immediately, my bad”

But they’ll still sell you out in an instance if it lets them protect their faith in a status quo that they’re religiously invested in defending.

Trying to explain shit to them is like talking an apologist out of believing in Jesus. It’s possible, but the apologist doesn’t believe in Jesus for logical reasons, they believe because they’re cowards, and you just can’t logic someone out of being a coward.

You can’t talk these people out of zealous defense of the status quo because they’re terrified of being called traitors, they’re terrified of being cut off the way they cut off all the conservatives in their lives, they just can’t handle reality.
