It is a Handmaiden’s Tale level nightmare now in Texas, where Lubbock has become the largest county where it is illegal to travel through the county to receive abortion services in another state. This is what predictably happens when you throw a fundamental question of human rights “back to the states” to decide. We need Roe v. Wade and its legal protections codified.
@georgetakei More than that. It needs to be a federal felony, punishable by 20 years without the possibility of parole, to interfere or seek to interfere or to counsel interference in the procurement of medical termination of pregnancy.
@mos_8502 why not just make it a crime to interfere with procurement of medical services in general? why limit to abortion?
@kimsal Because then you open up a can of worms with shit like conversion “therapy”.
