#StormChasing day! It's already popping off in SE AZ, about 4 hours away. Peak thunderstorms predicted for afternoon. If I am in the mood and it gets interesting, I'll live-post. Most storm chasing, tbh, is really storm-driving and then storm-waiting, so plenty of time to pass reading or posting.

Big storm cells still moving through Tucson and multiple parts of Southeast Arizona, but I went straight to the Wilcox Playa as planned. Coming in, I could see some nice cells moving across the playa (photo), even dropping a few bolts, but by the time I got parked it began pouring. Waiting it out in the truck, hoping for some action on the next cycle.

I've got paper books and about three weeks worth of audiobooks (thanks for the suggestions a few days ago, everyone).

I went to Wilcox to get a burrito at 4pm and by then it was pretty obvious that the storms had lost steam, so I headed back west. Nice sunset in Tucson, but a skunk out day 🤷‍♂️

@Mikal feel free to stop by our new digs in Maine for a good Nor’easter this winter.
