The moon has taken over. Deep sky photography is on hiatus.
@catherineryanhyde
But then you star hunters will miss lunar photography opportunities like this of the #Albategnius region of the moon.
@stargazersmith I like to shoot the moon, sun and planets as well. This is lovely.
@catherineryanhyde One reason narrowband tempts me...
@hendric I just figureI'd never sleep again.
@catherineryanhyde That's what cloudy nights are for. 😁😴
@hendric I keep waking up and looking outside to see if it cleared.
@catherineryanhyde Not to mention the terrible weather here in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 😒 Ah, time to spend behind the computer processing…
@Jos_B Good use of energy. This is beautiful. Your nights must be very short in the summer.
@catherineryanhyde Yes, June/July is when I take a break from shooting DSO’s - doesn’t get completely dark at all. Completely dark is relative because of the light pollution here (Bortle 5). (Your location is probably much better?)
@Jos_B Where I live is about a Bortle 3-4. But I also have a dark sky property that's a 2.
@Jos_B You inspired me to try my data on this again.
