It’s how I’ve always pronounced it though. For three decades. I don’t really care if it riles people up because it feels weird af saying it the other way. Also, the creators say it’s jif so it doesn’t really matter what anyone thinks that’s just what it is lol
I'm willing to let people say it however they want without harassment. But when they bring up the "But this guy says its this way, so it has to be true" that I get tetchy.

No it’s not, it’s an acronym. And the majority of people pronounce it smartly as gif, not jif. The fact I have to type jif to clear up the crap pronunciation is just evidence as to why it is pronounced as gif.
