@pollute_my_lungs The point we're trying to make here isn't that religion makes someone a better person. but in a state as Christian as Texas, if you're baptizing prisoners, offering them spiritual classes as a path to rehabilitation, and telling them it makes them a "new man," it seems hypocritical not to consider any of that when it comes time to consider whether to execute them or not. They don't seem to believe the stories they tell themselves here.

@TexasObserver @pollute_my_lungs In a state as "christian" as texas, the state murders more people than any other. It seems rather naive and/or grotesque not to see the potential for abuse when a murder-happy religious state considers promotion of its religion as a reason to exempt people from death.
