I hope Virginians turn out in huge numbers for the state legislative elections on November 7. If the GOP in VA flips the state Senate, that would give Glenn Youngkin a GOP trifecta and he would undoubtedly start implementing a right-wing agenda. The off-year VA elections are considered a bellweather for 2024. It would be great if they could pull off a blue wave like they did in 2019 which would further signal momentum going into 2024.

I’m not from Virginia, but I would not be surprised if those automatic absentee ballots ended statewide if the GOP gets that trifecta.

The GOP modus operandi seems to be:
1) make it hard to vote
2) gerrymander the snot out of the state
3) appoint judges that will keep them in power
