Have yet to hear of escalation racism on this side of the Pacific, as we also experienced post 9/11.
Certainly have my sympathy, as Ive personally coped a lot of anti-Muslim/Arab remarks in the past, despite being east-Asian.

RELIGION
Studying/reading history has given me a great dislike of all religion. If everyone's GOD is so all-powerful, all-loving, omniscient, why does feeble little man need to protect this being by killing or trying to kill anyone/everyone who does NOT believe exactly as they do ... Can this GOD not protect itself?

@rabbijill @QasimRashid I’m the only Jew in my homeless shelter and there are a few girls here wearing Hamas colors deliberately, and I feel less than safe. Most of the Muslims here are OK, but I strongly suspect that the Hamas supporters at my shelter aren’t even Muslim. They just like hating on Jews. They were wearing Western clothes up until the Hamas attacked. The other day I was watching footage where search and rescue teams were saying Kaddish over recovered bodies and I burst into tears. I looked around and people were mocking me. Meanwhile, little Palestinian boys are being killed for no reason in Chicago. Just too much genocidal rhetoric all around.

@QasimRashid Even if Hamas are completely guilty or these atrocities, in fact, even if all Palestinians took part in the violence, it still doesn't warrant personally attacking some random Muslim living in Paris or Dublin or Barcelona.

@QasimRashid I've been saying forever: the majority of people suck on both sides. I wonder when will people ever push tribalism to the side and actually attempt to work together to stop all the needless bloodshed.
