Tongues While I publish most of my stories in my weekly newsletter, now and then I like to post a short work in Notes. Enjoy this one-sentence horror story, Tongues, a tale for the spooky season. The collection of sixty-three human tongues stapled to the walls in Janet’s apartment was entirely understandable once you learned that she was a horror writer who regularly pounded her desk more than her keyboard while screeching, “What’s that word? It’s on the tip of my tongue.”
