@cathywilcox I think that one's probably too kind. It overlooks the fact that we've always had a strong undercurrent of racism. I'd also add in that, through Voldemort, we've fully embraced the imported Trumpian/evangelical/alt-right 'Murikan values that have emboldened and enabled racists to stop being silently hidden, but instead overtly open and very vocal.
