I'm considering replacing my currently working furnace, which is fueled by natural gas, with an energy efficient heat pump that runs on electricity. This would allow me to cool my 3rd-story condo during scorching days as well as heat my unit during the cold ones. This will be the most expensive investment of my life, and I'm terrified of making an error. Do any of my followers have experience here? Please DM me by Signal or here.

@dangoodin Get the government's 30% off coupon. DOE has a list of models which qualify for the tax credit.

I haven't heard of ducting being an issue for cooling versus heating. They're both just based on moving air.

@dangoodin It's also, I think, a nonrefundable tax credit. Which shouldn't be an issue, but in case you have really low tax liability for whatever reason.
