Monarchs getting ready to overwinter in Santa Cruz

@Mamapikasue there are several spots in California where they winter in these large numbers. So magical
@Drdind my youngest, their school for a project raised monarch butterflies and then released them. Each class, the whole school, released on the same day. It was magnificent to see so many butterflies. The kids were shouting out and pointing to which one was theirs - and they were all named. I hope the project helped increase the butterflies in our area.
