Unfortunately, I watched one (1) gun video on YT and my recommendations are shit. Did you know there's a petition to get a replica Halo rifle declared the standard assault rifle of the US military
Where's the tickbox for "I am fascinated by the engineering principles behind firearms and could even imagine myself enjoying target shooting but I have no delusions re: the statistics about firearm safety in the home"

@Charlotte

Oh christ.

Like, I'm not judging the interest, but I feel like watching a video with that content is grade-A recommendation algorithm *poison*

@Phorm It's somehow worse than if you click on anything regarding Star Wars or a video game with selectable pronouns. Just radioactive waste

@Charlotte @Phorm Forgotten Weapons doesn't do it as much, I guess because YouTube calls that life history? but yes definitely a category to open in an incognito tab if at all

(and mark so many channels as do not recommend it gets real gross)

@Charlotte

The XM29 was pretty close looking ...but it was a "portable" (18lbs. empty)
war crime.

They were also looking a a German made rifle that came in a sci-fi looking plastic housing... but the housing was prone to melting with sustained firing.
