Is it too much to ask that, when people list books online, they write descriptions that sound like they've actually seen the book on offer? "spine may have creases" "dust jacket may be missing" "may contain stains that do not obscure the text." When considering what is essentially a pig in a poke, THE SUBJUNCTIVE IS NO-ONE'S FRIEND.
