Is Google broken? I'm trying to search for:
__ skin burning Autan __

without any quotation marks, and all I'm getting is links to buy Autan!

Has anyone here ever experienced #burning sensation on the #skin after having applied Autan - or any other popular #Icaridin / #Picaridin / #Saltidin based mosquito #repellent?

@muiiio

FWIW: The first link I got was this:

https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/002763.htm

Bug spray poisoning: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia

This article discusses the harmful effects from breathing in or swallowing bug spray (repellent).

@janetlogan Interesting, this is about other types of repellents 🤔
@janetlogan I'm wrong, this one does contain DEET! 😲

@muiiio

I was actually responding to let you know I didn't get a bunch of ads, but I'm glad that my result was useful otherwise.

@muiiio Does it have any essential oils in it? Like Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Citronella?
@RickiTarr Icaridin is based on piperidine, which is a compound found in pepper 🤔 Could be that?
@muiiio Oh possibly, I have had a few repellents on the past that stung my skin
@RickiTarr I just made sure to read the back of it, it's not even Icaridin, it's DEET, which can apparently irritate skin 🙄 I have to find a new repellent.
@RickiTarr Some Autan products are indeed based on Icaridin, *this* one isn't 😬
